OPI - Push and Shove

Hi guys!  I have a feeling I'm going to have a very erratic posting schedule for the next few months, as shit got weird over here, lol.  So sorry bout that!  BUT  I had to hop on here and show this polish, cause it is bonkers!

OPI's Push and Shove was the only polish from the Gwen Stefani collection I NEEDED, absolutely needed, so I went out yesterday and hunted it down (I did also pick up the black matte too).

Push and Shove is an awesome chrome with a mirror like finish.  This makes me want to hunt down the Layla Chromes!  Why didn't we get those here in the states?

Now, a couple things with the application.  I honestly thought it would be horrible, but it really wasn't.  I made sure to buff the ridges out of my nails first.  I'm lucky that I don't have bad ridges, and I only buff the base of my nails (since my tips are already smooth from the previous time I buffed).  And the polish comes with an itty bitty bottle of  "Lay Down the Base" which is an odd base coat.  It's a bit thick, dries fast and dries matte.  Push and Shove is a true one coater (thought I added two).  The first coat went down pretty even, but SUPER brushstrok-y.  Within 5 minutes the brushstrokes disappeared.  The second coat I added applied fine, but was super bubbly.  I thought I had ruined the finish, but within 5 minutes the brushstrokes again disappeared, along with the bubbles.  Hmm....weird.  You're also not supposed to add topcoat...I kinda wonder what happens....will try before I take it off.

Anyway, gah!  I can't help but absolutely LOVE this!  BUT!  Downside is instant tipwear!  Next time I won't bother wrapping my tips.

Oh I love this so much!  I don't want to take it off!  OPI.....please make more of these!  And make a bigger bottle of Lay Down the Base!  (Anyone know how it works with finicky holo's?)
