Hey guys! How bout some more RBL's? And man this is a good one, even though my camera makes it look like nothing special. And ick, this winter has not been kind on my hands! Talk about some dry, raggedy cuticles! Yuck!
I would consider Smile a melon. Neither pink, nor coral. Though, maybe it is coral. Whatever it it, it's PERFECT! Just the kinda color I adore! There is also a bit of a hidden shimmer in this that is very hard to discern.
Absolute perfection I tell you!
Anyone else catch the new Hobbit movie? I have so many thoughts about it, but don't even know where to start! First off, I loved it....cause, well, it brought me back to Middle Earth, and everyone knows how I love the M.E.!
Was anyone else disappointed with Beorn? The way they portrayed him was not at all how I saw him. Anyone else think they made him look like a werewolf? Such a bummer for me, cause I love Beorn. And he was in it a whole, what, 5 minutes? Super bummer!
I was also disappointed that they didn't include Mirkwood that much. It was such a big part of the book. It makes me excited for the extended editions (they have to be making them right?!?) to see what they didn't include in the movies.
As far as the character Tauriel, you know, I can't hate, cause Evangeline Lilly is adorbs (talk about girl crush here!). Did they need her in the movie? No, but I like what she brought. Though I could have lived without the Legolas, Tauriel, Kili love triangle. That's a bit unnecessary!
Now, you know what really irked me, was Thorin saying he wasn't going to risk everything for one "burglar". At this point in the book (if I remember correctly), Bilbo has become one of them. Even at the end of An Unexpected Journey they respected Bilbo.
You know what element I really loved that PJ added? The orc's. I love that they added them, and it gives a nice idea of whats to come with the Battle of Five Armies. I'm assuming that's what the third movie is going to be about. And I also love that they go into what the hell Gandalf is doing when the dwarves are off fighting a dragon. I always thought that was funny. In the book Gandalf's all "see ya" and runs off! : )
You know what I'm really surprised about....that PJ didn't find a way to add Gollum. Total surprise! Given his love affair of Andy Serkis. I wouldn't have minded if he did include Gollum.
And as much as I want to hate the fact that PJ made a book that took me maybe a day and a half to read into three very long movies, I just can't! You know why? Cause the more time I can spend immersed in the world of Middle Earth, the better! And....really, can't go wrong with Martin Freeman. I have loved him since The Office, and he is the perfect Bilbo. Seriously. As disappointed as I was with Elijah Wood as Frodo (seriously, I really disliked Frodo in the LOTR trilogy!), Martin more than makes up for it as Bilbo!
