Essie - Sunday Funday

Hey guys!  Hope you all are having an awesome day.  I'm having my own marathon of Tattoo Nightmares.  I love tattoo shows!  And it always makes me want to get more tattoos.  Fun fact about me, I've ALWAYS wanted a half sleeve.  A bright, floral half sleeve.  But my guy (who doesn't have any tattoo's), has nixed that idea.  Oh well....I'm just gonna get another unicorn tattoo! lol!

Anyone else get confused by all the Essie collections that come out?  I feel like there are 4 new collections out now, and I don't know what's what.  Anyways, this is one of them.  This is Sunday Funday.  I believe it's the summer collection, and it was hard for me to pick just one.  I could have picked them all up.  It's going to be hard not to pick them all up!

Can you guess why I picked this up?  CORAL?!?  SHIMMER?!?  LET ME PULL OUT MY WALLET!!

I started to apply and was like, "wait.....this looks exactly like.....OPI's I Eat Mainely Lobster".  And in truth, it is really close.

BUT, this one was more annoying.  It took three coats to get what you see here.  Two was just too streaky to look decent.  AND the shimmer seems to have sunk since applying last night.  The shimmer was much more apparent last night after applying.

With that said, I still love it cause......CORAL!! : )

Hope you all have a wonderful day/week....and to kick it off (I know it's Tuesday, but it's still the start of the week, right?), watch this funny Ryan Gossling video.

  1. This is gorgeous! Let me pull out my wallet, too! And that is so sad that you can't have your half sleeve! I love tattoos, I think they're beautiful, but I don't have any. They're just so permanent and I'd want something to be beautiful and meaningful and something that I'd find significant and representative of myself FOREVER... And then I crack under the pressure and stop thinking about it. Also, my body does not like foreign metal things poking at it. My nose used to be pierced and it went horribly terribly wrong. When I asked the doctor I should take out the piercing and her reply was no, but to be vigilant about infection because of proximity to the brain... Yeah, no thanks, I don't want to have to worry about that. So I'm convinced something would go wrong with a tattoo, even though I have no real evidence.

Long story short, I am just going to live vicariously through other people's fun body modifications. Speaking of which... you should show us pictures of your tattoos!

  2. My tattoo's are really boring. I would love to have some actual "art" on my body. The kind that people stop and say "that's beautiful", and can actually respect what the artist has created. None of mine are really like that (except my "tramp stamp" which the artist actually free handed directly on to my skin....it was kinda awesome!).

....I still want my half sleeve though!

  3. My tattoo's are really quite lame! All of them were done by the time I was 18, so no real art works here! I would still love to get a gorgeous piece though!
