He finally put a ring on it!

Good morning!  Have you guys missed me?  I miss blogging so much.....but I have to say, it is nice not being glued on the computer so much!  My guy would probably say the same thing....he always complains about how much time I spend on it.

Anyways, thought it would be fun to take a quick pic with my phone and tell you about the beautiful ring my guy made for me.  I had to include my nails of course......since they haven't been seen here for months!  I cut them down big time last week because my thumb nail split right at the quick, ouch!

I really like the combo I'm wearing today.  I'm wearing Sinful Color's Neptune with Urban Outfitter's Dust at accent nails.  I'm not a huge fan of SC polishes....they have always just been a bit meh for me, but I actually like the way this one looks, you might not be able to tell from this small pic, but it's a nice shimmery, dusky navy.  It had a very weird jelly consistency though.  The UO glitter is a surprise hit from me.  Its a silver hex glitter with silver micro glitter mixed in a sheer blue jelly base.  In the bottle, the hex glitter looks like its going to be the kind that curls, and doesn't lay flat, but I'm glad to announce that isn't a problem.  I really like this combo, and I'm not a huge blue fan.

Anyways, on to the ring!

So after he asked, he proceeded to tell me all about the ring, and it brought tears to my eyes.  I've known for years (yes, I said years!!) that he was going to give me his mom's engagement ring.  His mom passed away right before I met him almost 12 years ago.  It was obviously a very hard thing for him, and still is.  It also makes me very sad, that not only did I never get to meet her, but that her grandchildren will never meet her ether.  From what I hear, she was a wonderful woman.

So, a couple months ago, we were sitting on the couch, and my guy, thought it would be fun to look through a ring catalog.  I kinda gave him my "face" like, "uh yeah, ok, whatever", and we proceeded to look though the catalog.  He kept asking which ones I liked and why.  At the time, I thought it was a little suspicious, but then nothing came of it, until he presented me with this, and told me how he had the whole ring redesigned.  He says that he had the two smaller diamonds mounted next to the larger one, and that he had the band taper out from the diamonds cause that's what I said I liked.  The man took good notes, cause I don't remember saying that, lol!  He had the remaining 9 smaller diamonds and gold made into a wedding band which is just stunning.  I can't wait to wear it!  Its funny that he even made a wedding band, cause I still don't think he knows what it is, lol!!

As far as a wedding go, its still so up in the air.  I always said I wanted a small wedding (which with my family, would never be small!).  Then as the years went on, I told my guy that we would just go to Vegas, just the two of us, and get married there (cause hey, its not really a shotgun wedding when you've been together as long as we have!).  Now its gone back to the small wedding, which I want to make even smaller, with just his dad, brother and SIL, and my parents, little brother and SIL.  Its so not me to have a big wedding.  I do think we will have a big reception with family and friends, cause lets face it, I want the pressies!!! LOL!

And for those that have asked, my cats doing well!!  Yay!

Anyways, I hope you all are doing well!  Thanks for listening!
