Ahh....it's my face!

Hiya!  I figure I might as well get off my lazy ass, stop eating these Hershey Kisses, and get up and run some errands today.  But before that, I wanted to post this look I'm wearing today.

Funny story first....or at least it was pretty funny to my guy and I.  As some of you know, I have an old dog named Harvey.  He will be 12 in April.  I've been having a hard time with him getting older, and to prove that, I've done over $1000 in test this last year just to tell me, yes Angie, he is just getting old.  Besides having the beginnings of laryngeal paralysis, and some arthritis, he is perfectly fine.  My guy will laugh at me, cause I will literally break into tears at odd moments because I will miss my dog so much when he's gone.

Anywhoo, last night at around 8:00, my dog was laying in his bed, staring at me.  My bf was on sitting on his other side.  Well my bf started calling Harvey's name, Harvey being very attentive, will always come to his name, show some kind of reaction to his name.  Well at this time, he didn't.  He didn't even wag his tail in acknowledgement.  My bf says to me "uh, I think your dog is going deaf", and continues to call his name.  Now here I am, staring at my dog with his "duh....." look on his face (you lab owners know that goofy look they have), and I start crying.  Yay, just another symptom of having an old dog.

Then it clicks in my mind.  Maybe he's hungry?  My dog knows maybe 5 words in his vocabulary (actually, he's quite smart, I'm sure he knows more), and his favorites are hungry? dinner? or walk?  Well, I happen to be the one that feeds him, and well, sometimes I forget.  So I told my bf to whisper the word hungry to him....sure enough, my dog gives him tail wag and FINALLY looks at him.  We both busted up laughing.  Soon enough my tears of sadness, turn in to tears from laughing too much.  This continues on for another 10 minutes of my boyfriend saying Harvey's name over, and over again, and throwing in a hungry or dinner every once in a while.  And sure enough, my dog hears it loud and clear.  My bf looks at me and says "so I guess he's not deaf, and just ignoring me", lol!!  I think this is a case of you had to be there....but still, thought it was funny!  I love my dog!

So I know this palette is old news, but I JUST found it the other day.

Why yes, that is a dog hair in the corner....I guess it seems only appropriate....

I used all the colors on the right hand side.

And I have to say I LOVE this little palette!  All the colors were very easy to work with, and for being matte's, I didn't have any fallout, and all the colors were very pigmented.  I don't typically use white shadow as it's very patchy, and doesn't show up on my skin anyway, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did on my browbone.

I know this makeup isn't too terribly exciting, but I like how my pictures actually turned out today so why not post?

OMG....do you guys see the lines and wrinkles under my eyes??  AHH!!!  I've probably said it before, but I forever feel like I should be 19.....but I have to face the facts and remember I'm turning the big 3-0 this year!  Aww jeez!

Well I hope you guys liked my story, we were laughing so hard last night, my stomach hurt!  Any of you guys have older dogs?

  2. Our dog is kind of old too, I don't even want to think about that... Love this eye make up you did. It's simple, but really well executed. BTW: You're super pretty! And those aren't wrinkles, but smile lines. =D

    1. You know, when I think of it, I'm pretty sure I don't have one single matte brown! So it is pretty unique.

  4. What a sweet story. :) Harvey is such a sweetheart! I never had a pet before and now when I got a lovely kitty, I can't live without him. He's pretty young but he scared me so much yesterday! He slept on my bed and usually he must have dreams about something so he shakes a bit. :D I usually start to cuddle him if I see him, so he open his eyes and falls asleep back again but yesterday - nothing! I was calling him, shaking, moving around bed - and he didn't move at all. I almost starting to freak out and call my mom but I saw his little body lifing up and down of breathing and I know he was just sleeping like dead. :D There was 5 seconds of my life thinking he really died and I felt the worst in my life I think. :S Wish your Harvey many many years to go! <3

You're so pretty and I love your freckles! <3 You def not looks like you're turning 30! <3

P.S.: I'm craving Hershey’s Kisses Cookies ‘n’ Creme right now and it's your fault! Why we don't have them here??? *cry*

    1. OMG Ivana, my cat does that too! I call it dead kitty, and he's done it a handful of times. The first time I thought he was dead, I picked him up and he was completely limp! Scared the everloving crap out of me! Hate it when he does that!

I don't think I've ever seen Cookies 'n' Creme kisses before! But I do *love* the Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme candy bars, they are my favorite!

  5. Oh my gosh. Your story is so funny. I mean, who wants someone bothering them unless they're offering food?? I understand haha. My new puppy actually can't hear and sometimes it's funny because she'll be doing something naughty and she won't hear me coming and I touch her and she jumps a mile and then gives me that "I know I was bad" look and runs away haha.

I understand you being upset thinking about losing your dog, my Sullivan is not even 2 yet and I get so sad thinking about life without him.

Anyways, about this look... I LOVE IT!!! Perfect blending!! That brown on your lid is incredible! The shadows look really smooth which is super awesome!

  10. This is a great story! Harvey is a great name for a dog. I don't have an older dog, but I have cat who has had sporadic health issues. I can relate to your concerns. My cat is basically my child. :P

    I love the eye look!
