December Julep Maven Box

Good morning everyone!  As usual, I was excited to come home to my Julep Maven box!  I love that they are based out of Seattle, and I get them super quick.  Didn't take long for me whip out the polish and pain my nails.  If your interested in signing up, you can do so by clicking here.  That is my personal referral link.  I get $15 credit for anyone signing up, and I actually just got another one the other day, thanks guys!   Anyways, on to the box!

I did actually request a shelf pull this month.  I'm usually a Boho Glam girl, but this months box included the top coat, nail appliques and a body lotion.  I wanted some polish (duh!!), so I went with the "It Girl" which included the Fast Dry Topcoat, polish in Helena and Rivets Nail Appliques.  It also included a "glitter pot" which I'm assuming is an extra.  The little pot I got isn't actually glitter but little half pearl thingies (I can not for the life of me remember what they are called) in kind of a pinky/red iridescent color.

Didn't take long for me to apply Helena.  I'm glad I got this one, as it's one of the polishes I've wanted from Julep

It's described as a "ultra-saturated fuchsia".  And my god, I could not get color accurate pictures to save my life!  And actually the picture on Julep's site looks the same as mine, so they weren't able to get color accurate pics ether!  This polish is a MUCH darker fuchsia than you see here.  They also describe it as a semi-matte creme.  It deffinitely dried semi-matte, but I would describe it as a jelly, deffinitely not a creme.

Nope, still not color accurate!

This right here is probably the closest I got.  It's still darker than this, and a lot redder toned.  I freaking love it, look how juicy it looks in the pic above!  Now I for some reason didn't try the fast dry top coat over it.  But I did apply it over this this am as I had a lot of scratches in the finish already.  It does dry very fast, but it is a thinner and runnier formula than I'm used to.  I've been using Seche Vite a lot again, so a big difference in formula.  So when I applied the Julep topcoat, I got some flooding in my cuticles, but no biggie.

So....I kinda took some pics of my stash, and my god, I'm shocked at my numbers!  I will post soon!

  1. It is still a pretty color in any light!

  2. That color is sooo pretty, excited to get it as well!

  3. That nail polish color so so pretty!

  4. Ohhh, I just got the Dec it girl box for the penny promotion they are doing. I am happy I chose this one cause the color is gorgeous!
