Sinful Colors - Decem-brrr

Hi guys. Hope you all are getting along alright. Its been kinda a crazy week in this country, hasn't it? I'm not one to talk politics, but to say I'm unhappy odd an understatement. I'm scared for our country.  But I don't want to get into it...I'm sure we're all tired of hearing about it.

So I was at Walgreens the other day and happened upon what I'm assuming is a new Sinful Colors display. I honestly don't know anymore what's out there. I haven't checked blogger in forever! Anyways, this color, Decem-brrr jumped out at me. It basically threw itself into my cart ( daughter threw it into my cart when I handed it to her...). I haven't had strong feelings about s polish like this in a long time.

So I applied it last night. First coat was super sheer...I'm like "ok....this Will be banging by the next coat" (do people still say that? Our does that age me? ) So I apply the second coat and nothing literally looks like I did nothing? What.the.fuck? I ain't got time for three coat polishes!! So the third coat I applied super thick...and it's still sheer. 😕😕😕

I just can't with this polish. I had such high hopes. It's so stunning in the bottle, it's really a shame. Its weird too, it's super blue shimmer in your bottle but turns purple jelly,  shimmer on the nail. Weird.

I mean, it's still pretty, but in sunlight, like below, you can see how sheer it really is. And also how purple it looks. Again....really effing weird.

Bottle shot, because why not? You can sorta see the magic I saw in the bottle....but to me, it wasn't worth it. I've never been do disappointed from a polish before. 😞

ETA: if this polish couldn't be anymore of a also stained my nails a lovely orange. 😕😕😕

Formula X - Artemis

Hi friends! Hope you guys are doing well. Can I first say how much I effing hate writing posts from my phone? But I can't use a computer anymore without a toddler driving me bonkers the minute I pull it out, so instead I'm writing this post from my phone while she sticks a million little Sophia The First stickers everywhere. Lol

So I stopped into Sephora yesterday to pick up my birthday reward (yay for turning 34!), and I did a little shopping. I happened to pick up the new Gwen Stefani UD palette for $25! It's pretty awesome too. Anyways, I saw these new Formula X polishes that are all named after Greek goddesses. I love Greek mythology so I kinda want then all but I settled for this one (though I really want Aphrodite too).

Artemis is a scattered holo with white gold metallic flakes. This really, really reminds me of an indie. It's really, similar to KB Shimmer's Diamond (which I am absolutely obsessed with!) but metallic flakes are much finer. It did take three costs but it's completely smooth, while Diamond leaves a little texture to the finish.

And now I know you're wondering about my blue pinky. Funny story, I fell in a wheelbarrow full of horse manure and scraped the base of my nail on something (true story dude!). I don't usually shy away from taking polish off when I have a wound on a finger but for whatever reason, this little wound is super painful to the air and water so it made me cringe to think of the stinging pain of taking polish off with acetone. Hence the one blue nail (which is Orly Royal Navy BTW). Orly Royal Navy actually looks pretty good for being almost a week old! I attribute it to my new favorite base coat from Pro-FX (found at Wal-Mart).

I'm pretty sure I really hate writing posts from my phone.....blogger keeps wanting to center all my writing and it's starting to hurt my brain.

Well kudos to you for getting through this while post! What do you think of my new fashion trend of the blue pinky? Lol

Sinful Colors - Kashmere

Whew....I'm tired! Just got back from the zoo with my cousins and our kids. One reason I love that I'm able to stay home with Keira is I get to do fun things during the week. We're always out doing fun things!

Ahh Sinful Colors are a lovely neutral! The formula on these Trend Matters are really nice. This one is labeled as a "velvet". I honestly don't know what they mean by that. This is the third polish from this collection I've tried and none of them are what I would consider matte. This one was the glossiest of the ones I've tried. There's also a slight shimmer in the bottle that all but disappears on the nail.

This is a hard color to describe. Beige-y white? White-ish beige? Sure, I'll go with that.

Try to ignore any sheet marks.....I paint my nails right before bed so it's kind is expected.

Sinful Colors - Silhouette

Hi friends! Surprised to see another post from me?vi kinda am.....I'm going to see if I can hey into a groove writing posts on my phone. Only time will tell how this goes, lol.

So Silhouette is the second polish from the Trend Matters collection that I've worn. And I'm absolutely smitten with it! Ugg.....I just can't you guys! ❤

Silhouette reminds me of Essie's Play Date, except with gold shimmer. I just put then side by side and they are very very similar.

I did top coat this cause let's face it, it's not matte to begin with. I'm wondering if any of these polishes are actually matte, cause the one I've got on now definitely isn't ether....3 out of 3 are a miss when it comes to matteness, but they're all winners in my book.

I'm seriously in love with this if it was legal, yes I would marry it! J/k.....or maybe not.....

Sinful Colors - Kold Kash

Hi guys! Hi, hi! I'm still alive, but man am I busy. I seriously don't know how people get shit done with a toddler! Don't get me wrong, I love being able to be with her everyday, but man, she's just a little time vampire, I hardly get anytime for myself.

Any who.....I still paint my nails. Between her bedtime and mine is my precious me time. I sit down with a book and decalf/hot chocolate/beer and sit down to paint my nails. I still buy polish here and there, but definitely not like I use to.

So I don't know how many Sinful Colors collections this Kylie Jenner chick has but it seems like I've seen a few pop up recently. And her Trend Matters collection is amazing. I literally want to buy all the polished. I didn't want to seem like a crazy person, so I've been buying a few at a time.

The first one I wore was Kold Kash (gag....just get off the damn Kardashianized names). This one reminds me of a toned down version of Zoya's Zuza. My camera said "eff you" when I tried to take pics. It's definitely way more green than these pics. Unfortunately I don't know how to adjust the color on my phone. Just believe me when I say this color is amazing. I think they called this one a satin. I added top coat since it wasn't matte and not quite as satin.

BTW I've been using ASP Wow It's Dry top coat. I have mixed feelings about it. Yes, it dries super fast and it's nice and thin and doesn't shrink or get stringy. But it's not very glossy, stinks for days (I kinda like the smell...) and it would definitely steak nail art. I think overall I like it, and the bottle is adorable.

I'm hoping to maybe post more. I never sit down at my computer anymore, so in thinking writing posts from my phone like this might work it better. We'll see!
